The development since the 1960's has had a huge effect on the travel and tourism industry today by changing the way we travel. Which the development of aircraft, cars,trains,and boats transport has become mush easier for all, especially

since the invention of airplanes holydaying abroad has been made alot easier, with hundreds of flights everyday to destinations across the world. without these transportation citizens would not be able to travel across the world or within their own countries leaving places undeveloped with no popularity growth or money profits.
Rail transport
in the 1950's most people preffered taking long distance yourney by steam trains.
in 1960 the diesel trains began running which were much faster and cleaner than the old steamengines and could carry more goods. diesel took away all the heavy rocking motion of steam trains, causeing less wear and tear on rail tracks providing a carm ride for passengers.

since the 1960's busses have taken over much of the role of trams.
ever since the last tram which ran in edinburgh in 1956 and the one in glasgow in 1963 cars and busses have been developt majorly making transport alot simpler but also harder for many people.
